700 new homes for Harborough
Harborough Council has revealed plans to build 700 new houses in the district in the coming year.
This follows the news that the council has fallen behind its new annual housing target, and so planning applications for the district will now be ‘treated more sympathetically to try to raise the build rate.’
Once the council reduces this shortfall, it will continue with its normal house building quota of 475 houses a year – meaning the creation of around 9,500 homes over 20 years.
